48 alumnis drafted in the 2010 QMJHL draft2010-06-2048 new alumnis from the QMJHL draft. After 32 last year our number of QMJHL draftee is going up and up.

Francois Tremblay from Baie-Comeau was the 1st one to go #4 to Val Dor. Francois is a strong goalie who played twice for the Redhawks. Next was Charles Hudon who got drafted by Chicoutimi at #6. Charles played for th St Eustache Vikings last year but he is originally from the Chicoutimi region. He also played a couple of times for the Redhawks. After that another goalie went in the 1st round to Shawinigan at #9. Alex Dubeau from Esther Blondin Phenix. Alex also played twice for the Redhawks including once with Francois Tremblay as a strong duo. 4 more of our former players went in the 2nd round. The 1st one was Christophe Lalonde at 21 to Lewiston. Christophe played for the Redhawks on 3 occasions. next was Raphael Lafontaine at 26 to Gatineau, Julien Lepage at 33 to Baie-Comeau and Samuel Roussyto Moncton at 34. 4 more went in the 3rd round. Mathieu Laverdure (baie-comeau), Angelo Miceli (Victo), Brayden Wood (Lewiston) and Marc Olivier Roy (Montreal). An impressive number of player went in the 4th and 5th round as well. 15 total alumnis went into those 2 rounds out of 36 players total. In order, Charles Poulin (Baie-Comeau), Toliver Begeron (montreal), Jonathan Diaby (victo), Maxime St cyr (rouyn), Philip Zielonka (moncton), Dominic Graham (drumondville), Maxime Provencher (victo) and Felix Chamberland (Val Dor) all went in the 4th round. 7 more follow up in the 5th round which is the last round where you could select 94 born players. Antoine Bibeau (lewiston), PM Poudrier (chicoutimi), Mathieu Lemay (rouyn), Derek Clavet (Quebec), Phillipe Trudeau (moncton), Simon Tardif Richard (Drummondville) and Felix Antoine Bergeron (shawi). A lot of 93s were also drafted in the so call later rounds. Kyle Campbell, Christophe Déry, Cédric Paquette, Wiiliam Cochrane, Hugo Savary, Jay Kourkoulis went in the 6th round. Mikael Langlois, Yannick Boucher, Alexandre Laliberté, François-Xavier Payette were drafted in the 7th. 12 more players were drafted from round 8 to 12 : Ugo Fontaine-Lefebvre, Alexandre Bergeron, Steven Mercier, Jean-Philippe Marcoux-Tortillet, Julien Giroux, Francis Alarie, Sotiris Athanasopoulos, Cal Gloade, Janick Asselin, Jeffrey Gagné, Nicolas Nolet, Jonathan Delorme. We also had 1 draftee in the OHL this year. Daniel Milne went in the 3rd round to the Toronto Young nats. Congratulations to all of you. We wish you all the best of luck in their future career. Redhawks Mtl Metro are the 93-94 Champions - 3 teams in the semis!2010-05-09A solid weekend for the Redhawks. Both 95 teams lost in the quarter finals in what was a very competitive class. Congratulations to both teams.
In the 93-94 division 3 teams out of 4 made it to the semi final and Redhawks Mtl Metro ended up winning the tournament against a very solid V-Red Germany team. All 6 Redhawks teams were competitive and where heavily scouted which was the main goal. Scouts from all regions and all leagues where on site including major junior, prep schools, NCAA Div 1 schools and others. Overall team record was 20-9-5 on the weekend. We would like to thank everyone for playing and we hope every single player enjoyed the experience. See you next year for the 94-95 class and the 96 one likely on mothers day weekend. 6 teams out of 8 make the playoffs! 5 won their division!2010-05-096 Redhawks teams made the playoff at the Meltdown tournament. 5 of them ended up winning their division including all 4 divisions in the 9394 class. It is looking very good for tomorrow but all teams are facing very good competition. 11-3-2 was the overall team record on the second day.
We would like to thank all players and parents on Redhawks Red and Redhawks UNB for being there. Both teams came up short but were a few bounces away from making it. We hope you enjoy the experience. Go Redhawks!! Montreal meltdown - 1st day2010-05-07Redhawks teams are looking pretty good at the meltdown. 11-2-4 is the program overall record after 1 day. We are very happy with the results and hope all players and parents enjoy the experience. As excepted tons of scouts are on sites and it is very good exposure.
